Introduction

If you are currently on the search for a new way to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles – look no further! We have tested out the hottest Kegel exercisers on the market today to see how they compare to Gynie.

A group of us women decided to try out all of these products to see if they really live up to their claims.

The cool thing is, we are all different looking for different types of results. Some of us are moms, some of us are in our twenties looking for sex benefits, some pee when they laugh, and some of us are lucky enough to have no symptoms.

We tried Elvie, kGoal, Kegelmaster, and Intimate Rose 3 times a week for 3 weeks each. Some are definitely better than others and we are going to bring you along with us through the process!

So, let’s get started.

All About Elvie

Elvie is by far the most popular on the market today!

The Elvie Trainer is currently based out of the UK but is making their way into the US. The Elvie Trainer is a small Bluetooth-powered pelvic floor training device that is designed for women. Since it is a Bluetooth device it comes with a charger, USB charging cable, and a small guide that helps you set up the mobile app. Elvie is mainly marketed as an easy way to train your pelvic floor on the go – anytime, anywhere. With the help of Elvie, their website claims that you can achieve better bladder control, faster postnatal recovery, and enhance intimacy in as little as 4 weeks.

While using the Elvie, you must download their mobile app that is available on both Android and iPhone. Once you purchase Elvie and download their app, you have access to 6 different games that are each 5 minutes long. They instruct that as you feel more comfortable you can move on to the Training, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.

Keep in mind, although the app is free, you can only get access to any information with the purchase of the Elvie Trainer.

Elvie’s Promises

Elvie promises you will begin to notice results in as little as 4 weeks on their website and as little as 2 weeks on their Amazon page and product packaging.  They also state that one of their main focuses is creating smarter technology for women. So, before trying Elvie, we did some research on what real customers are saying about Elvie.

Looking at the latest reviews on Amazon, there was a mix of opinions. Some stated it helped them cure their urinary incontinence and that their husbands are “over the moon” excited about their progress.

Others are upset because the sensors are unreliable, and they have had a hard time connecting to the app. The more extreme reviews say that the product never worked from day one and it is a complete waste of their $200.

With such mixed reviews – who can you believe? We are going to find out!

Does Elvie Live Up to the Hype?

After training Elvie for 2 weeks, we didn’t notice any changes in our sex lives like promised. We even took it a step further and asked our partners if they could tell any changes during sex. None of them noticed a difference enough to mention.

So, what is our ruling? For the average woman that has no urinary incontinence problems nor has given birth recently – we don’t think it is worth the hype.

Here’s why.

We trained 3 days a week (some of us even more than the recommended 5 minutes) and didn’t notice any changes in the recommended timeframe they state on their packaging. We think that because the Elvie doesn’t provide any weight or resistance, we aren’t seeing the results that were initially hoping for.

Additionally, it may not even be good for women that are having problems locating their pelvic floor muscles. We say this because the sensors on the device (for us) weren’t working in terms of sending a warning when performing a kegel incorrectly. On the contrary, it encourages you to push down on the pelvic floor because it gives you more points. In reality, this can cause damage and negative effects on the pelvic floor.

kGoal

kGoal is the newest edition of the MinnaLife family. They are best known as the San Francisco startup that focuses on sexual health products. Their first edition was their intuitive vibrator products Ola and Limon. With the creation of kGoal, they entered a new realm of pelvic floor health.

kGoal is an interactive training system for your pelvic floor that comes with a downloadable app. The app provides you with additional guidance, real-time feedback, and gives you the ability to keep track of your exercise history.

Claims by kGoal

kGoal claims that they are perfect for women that are either new to Kegel exercises or that are Kegel exercise champs.

When it comes to the results you can achieve with kGoal they stand at a very neutral standpoint. On the kGoal website, it states that pelvic floor health, in general, is a key component for improving bladder control, pre and post-pregnancy health, core strength, and intimate well-being.

However, they don’t go into detail about the results that we can experience using kGoal specifically.

What interests us the most is the market research they conducted. According to kGoal, “Based off of a study of 400 women that exercised with kGoal 3 times per week for 6 weeks found significant improvements in pelvic floor muscle strength, endurance, and control. “

The kGoal takes a lot more time to see results than other top competitors that claim it takes as little as three weeks to notice results.

So, to be honest we weren’t really impressed.

Our Results After Testing kGoal

We weren’t expecting much results with kGoal. Especially since kGoal’s website recommends using the product for 6 weeks.

We didn’t train for six weeks with kGoal. To be honest, we didn’t even train 3 weeks with kGoal.

Let us explain why.

kGoal wasn’t specific with the results that we would achieve from the beginning. We didn’t have many results to look forward to, except for the generic “pelvic floor health” benefits that we can find with a quick Google search on Kegel exercises.

Additionally, although the kGoal was soft by touch it wasn’t comfortable to use. Even though we deflated the kGoal before entering the exerciser into our vaginas – the top part was still large, circular, and hard to enter.

About Kegelmaster

The Kegelmaster definitely a more old-school approach to training your pelvic floor muscles. It is a progressive kegel exercise device that was designed for women. They offer different levels of resistance ranging from 1 lb. up to 6.95 lbs.

It isn’t an exaggeration to say that Kegelmaster can seem a bit intimidating at first. To be specific, it looks like a blue penis. However, we are still excited to use it and see the benefits that come with it!

Kegelmaster has been around for many years and although their website is severely outdated and looks like an infomercial -they are pretty clear on their beliefs. They believe in Dr. Arnold Kegel’s teachings that you must incorporate progressive weight resistance in your kegel routine. On their website, they provide plenty of information about your pelvic floor and the function that it plays in our bodies as women.

What is nice is they explain the results that you can expect to experience. Whether that is to keep you from rushing to the bathroom or improve the intensity, duration, frequency, and satisfaction of the vaginal orgasm.

What We Discovered After Testing Kegelmaster

Firstly, entering the device into your vagina was kind of difficult. It was completely necessary to use lubricant. However, no one told us that when we used lubricant, it was going to make the training so much harder. We also couldn’t tell if we unscrewed the knob enough once it was inside. We couldn’t even tell if we were squeezing the Kegelmaster closed! It was truly a guessing game.

It is near impossible to keep the Kegelmaster in you for a long time. It hurts like hell, especially when removing the Kegelmaster. We think pushing down on your pelvic floor muscles will help to get it out faster?

Next, when it came to completing the reps most of us were able to squeeze the full 30. Although, some of us took less than a minute and some of us took about 3 minutes. Either way, it got done!

The biggest question is if we noticed those amazing sex benefits. Kegelmaster claims that within two weeks of training 3 times a week you can experience sex to feel more pleasurable and stimulating. We may also feel that our partner’s penis has gotten larger and that our partners will notice our vaginal wall to be firmer.

Most of us felt that we didn’t notice a significant difference. Some said that their partners felt that they are in fact tighter. As for experiencing more orgasms, maybe three weeks is too soon to tell.

Intimate Rose

Intimate Rose Kegel Exercise System comes with 6 Kegel weights. The weights range from 25g to 125g. This is the easiest of them all to use. All you have to do is enter one into your vagina like a tampon. We choose to use Intimate Rose Kegel weights for 30 minutes, 3 times a week, for 3 weeks!

Intimate Rose Claims

Intimate Rose claims that by using the Kegel weights 15 minutes a day you should feel the difference within 1-2 months. They state you will notice that “You’ll have a stronger and tighter vaginal muscles that will help with improved bladder control, easier labor, faster childbirth recovery and sexual satisfaction like you’ve never had before!”

What we Discovered After Testing Intimate Rose

Although Intimate Rose offers a wide range of different weight options, the weight is extremely light.

When we first started using Intimate Rose’s Kegel weights, we all started with the lightest weight. However, it didn’t take us long to figure out that it was extremely easy.

We ended up skipping levels 2 and 3 and went straight to the 4thlevel by the 3rdday of training. By the 4thday of training, we were confident enough to walk around outdoors in the Kegel weights.

And by the last day of our training, we were able to go to yoga for a whole hour with our Kegel weights inside of us!

After training with Intimate Rose for 3 weeks we learned that although it seems like a great value getting 6 kegel weights in a set – it isn’t very useful if the weight aren’t challenging.

How Do These Products Compare to Gynie?

Gynie is truly the first of its kind. Gynie allows you to achieve ultimate inner strength with the world’s first true resistance training system to tone your PC muscle.

You may be wondering what the PC muscle is? Especially, when we spent so much time talking about pelvic floor muscle health.

Well, within the pelvic floor is the PC muscle.

The PC muscle is a hammock-like muscle found in both women and men. It stretches from the pubic bone to the tailbone. The PC muscle is actually the muscle stimulated during an orgasm. Furthermore, it plays a large role in the overall core strength.

You see, Gynie helps you maximize your efforts. With their patented technology, all you need to do is dedicate 3 minutes a day, 3 days a week, in order to see incredible results in your pelvic floor, core muscles, and even posture!

There are so many things that separate Gynie from Elvie, kGoal, Kegelmaster, and Intimate Rose. The main differences are in the design and training method.

Gynie comes with three resistance levels, providing an exercise opportunity for the beginners and advanced users alike. Gynie provides approximately one inch of range of motion. That alone will make you feel stronger and more empowered! But, by providing you with three different resistance levels, you are able to grow your strength with every single workout!

Gynie also makes it a point to teach you how to train your PC muscle with the correct mindset. Gynie believes in the power of the mind-muscle connection.  The design encourages you to play out each repetition with total control of the movement. To clarify, this means that you’ll avoid the temptation to swing your body and utilizing that force, rather than your kegel muscles themselves. This is going to help you get the results that you want a whole lot faster!

Conclusion

At Gynie, we’ve tried many different products. During that process, we discovered that many other pelvic floor training devices lack an understanding of how to effectively train your pelvic floor muscles – including the PC muscle.

The truth is, you need the right kegel exercise device to make the most of your kegel exercises.

Remember, when you strengthen the PC muscle, it helps build a strong core. A strengthened core encourages stability, empowers vitality, and enhances sexual function.

You deserve to become the best you can be! Gynie will help you achieve that by embracing one key principle – Strength Begins Within.
